My Favourite Dancing Style In Sri Lanka

                                                        


                                               There are three main dancing styles of Sri Lanka. They are Kandyan dance, Low country dance and Sabaragamu dance. Among of them Kandyan dance style is my favourite dancing style. The Kandyan dancing of the hill country known as Udarata Netum. The main ritual is Kohomba Kankariya ritual coming from king Paduwasdew. The set dialog between Dancers and drummers entertain audience in this ritual. Kandyan dance takes its name from Kandy, the last royal capital of Sri Lanka. The Drum used in Kandy dance is known as the Getabera. The ves dance is main dance and special reason is it is performed by only males. 

                                Still I study this dancing style . As a Sri Lankan I love most of this traditional dancing pattern.
